THE WHY

Kinfolk Outpost is rooted in the belief that self-sufficiency is a birthright, not a backup plan. In a world shaped by uncertainty, reclaiming ancestral knowledge and practical skills is a radical act of healing, empowerment, and cultural continuity. We exist to help Black communities and beyond reconnect with the land, restore confidence in their ability to thrive, and build systems of care that endure.

This isn’t just about survival — it’s about sovereignty. It’s about living with intention, protecting what matters, and passing on wisdom that strengthens generations.

We Are Guided By

Our Pillars

To support this mission, Kinfolk Outpost is built on six foundational pillars, each representing a vital area of self-sufficiency, wellness, and collective power. These pillars guide our programs, workshops, and community efforts, ensuring that every skill taught is rooted in cultural relevance, practical application, and long-term resilience.

From survival and sustainability to governance and cultural preservation, these pillars form a holistic framework for thriving — not just surviving — in uncertain times. They are designed to equip individuals, families, and communities with the tools to live intentionally, protect what matters, and pass on wisdom for generations to come.
